The 5th edition of The Handbook of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology has been published and is available at CRC Press.
Work is starting on a book on thrombin which I am hoping will be more fun than the Compendium. While I did learn a lot, it was tedious. Just finished the first draft of a chapter on the history of thrombin and it is more fun.
His work on thrombin has been seminal in the development of thrombin as hemostatic agent and fibrin sealant. Other work has focused on other blood plasma proteins and salivary proteins.
Dr. Lundblad posts "items of interest" in biotechnology on a regular basis. Current items include:
PEGylation of Factor VIII
Enzymes and Heterogeneous Catalysis
Michael Addition Reactions with Fumarate and Related Michael Acceptors
Gene Therapy for Hemophilia
Prothrombin Complex Concentrates and Factor VIIa
Thrombin and Pain
Factor VIII mimics
thrombin and fibrin sealant
